The Dutchman Max Verstappen won the United States Grand Prix after becoming three-time Formula 1 World Champion a couple of weeks ago in Qatar. At the Circuit of the Americas in Austin (Texas), Verstappen scored his 50th victory in the premier class.

Verstappen, who equaled his own record of victories in a single season with fifteen, won ahead of the Englishmen Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Lando Norris (McLaren).

Verstappen, 26, won for the third consecutive time at the Austin, Texas, circuit, while his teammate, the Mexican Sergio Pérez, finished fifth behind the Spanish Carlos Sainz (Ferrari).

Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) had to abandon due to a problem with the flat bottom of his car, with five of the 56 laps remaining.

His teammate, the Canadian Lance Stroll finished ninth while the Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) was sixth; Englishman George Russell (Mercedes), seventh; and the Frenchman Pierre Gasly (Alpine), eighth.

The Japanese Yuki Tsunoda (Alpha Tauri), who set the fastest lap in the race, finished tenth and also entered the points.
