Mac Jones’ girlfriend, Sophie Scott, celebrates clutch Patriots moment after team’s turbulent start

Sunday’s Patriots victory was extra sweet for Sophie Scott.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the girlfriend of Patriots quarterback Mac Jones celebrated New England’s stunning 29-25 upset win over the Buffalo Bills, sharing a video of the three-year vet throwing the game-winning touchdown pass.

“PATS W,” Scott wrote. “With a side of griddy.”

The Patriots earned their second win of the season on Sunday, which also marked head coach Bill Belichick’s 300th regular-season victory.

Jones, who has struggled under center in recent weeks, completed 25 of 30 attempts for 272 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions.

“It’s all about playing for each other, playing for the guy next to you and understanding why. So we did that today and we need to continue to do that every day in practice and in the games,” Jones said postgame.

After the Bills took their first lead of the game at 25-22, Jones led the Patriots on an eight-play, 75-yard drive that ended with a touchdown pass to tight end Mike Gesicki with 12 seconds left.

The former first-round pick also told reporters that he has been “sticking to the process” amid a turbulent start to the year, which included multiple benchings.

“It’s hard when the results aren’t there. But continue to do that and continue to get better. We left some stuff out there, as always. But at the end of the day, we fought back,” Jones said.

The former Alabama product has been at the center of criticism as losses continued to pile up for the Patriots.

New England was outscored 72-3 in back-to-back losses to the Cowboys and Saints earlier this month before they dropped their third straight game, a 21-17 defeat to the Raiders last week.

“I’m confident,” Jones previously said. “I think that comes from years of experience and earning respect from people. I think I’ve done that. But once again, I’m trying to win every game that I play in and I’m not doing it. I just really want to focus on how I can bring these guys with me, how we can clean up the little things.”

With a divisional matchup against the Dolphins on deck, Jones will be leaning on his teammates and Scott for support.

Together since 2019, Scott frequently cheers on Jones at Patriots games, whether at home or away.

Miami will host New England on Sunday at 1 p.m.
